The late Carl Cestari (1958-2007) began his study of the martial arts with judo at the age of 7 under the direction of Yoshisada Yonezuka. For over forty years, Carl dedicated his life to studying the martial arts, hand to hand combat systems, history and religion. He continually sought to improve himself through his studies. What made Carl unique is his combination of martial arts, law enforcement, military and real world experience. Carl was an inspiration and a legend in the close quarters combat community and will be dearly missed.

During his life Carl trained thousands of military personnel, law enforcement personnel and martial artists. His legend lives on through his video training and people he had the honor of studying under him.
