Train These Gun Disarm Steps Until You Know Them Like You Know How To Breathe
As you’ll see in the video below, there are a six little steps, if you train them enough, that all flow together and you’ll get through the entire sequence in a second or two.

Step 1. CLEAR the weapon so it’s not pointing at you if it fires (a MUST – NEVER let the gun recross your body once you’ve cleared it)
Step 2. Isolate the Weapon
Step 3. Kick or strike your attacker (Inflict pain BEFORE taking gun or you end up in a tug of war)
Step 4. Manipulate the gun out of the attacker’s hand
Step 5. Strike back with gun (blow to head)
Step 6. Step back (create distance) / clear weapon (slam home magazine, slide rack)
