  • Great ideas! I carry 6 bear bells that have velcro loops on them. They have a magnetic side so the bell does not ring when packed in my bug out bag. Perimeter trip wires are made of heavy dental floss and bear bells are strung from floss by velcro. Floss can be tied or wrapped around trees or anchored into trees with small eyelet screws…. I may or may not have learned this here, but have used it in the mountains due to…you guessed it…bears at night!
