Reader Feedback Request: “Should I Get The COVID Vaccine?”

I gotta tell you, I’m personally struggling with this one and can use your help…

On one hand, I’m as sick as you are of all these restrictions… not shaking hands… having my “party of 6” broken up into two tables of “4 & 2” placed 6’ away… and wearing this frickin’ MASK everywhere!

So let’s all just “get the shot” and move on, right?

On the other hand, I’m not big on “conspiracy theories”, but having some vaccine ram-rodded through the approval process and told, “don’t worry… it’s safe” by the government, well… it just scares the bejeesus out of me.

My girlfriend and I were talking about it and I’m kinda torn…

I’M hemming and hawing about joining the herd and – short of people dropping dead or growing a third eye from the vaccine – I’m considering taking the plunge.

When I worked on a counter-terrorism task force after the 9-11 attacks (when we were worried more about biological agents), I was convinced that the “flu shot” was a great tool to giver our immune systems a workout and stay in top shape.

I’ve gotten “the shot” ever since then and been good-to-go.

My girlfriend on the other hand, points out that…

“We’re all being used as Guinea Pigs for human trials and we don’t know what the effects will be 5-10 years down the road. Besides, will it even be effective against all the mutated strains that are cropping up? If wearing our masks and sanitizing our hands is working, then why chance it?

(She said I could quote her. 🙂 )

I gotta say, she has a point (and she’s the “smart one” of our duo).

I wonder what YOU think?

I’m open to your feedback if you’re cool with leaving a comment below…

(And please… no alien space conspiracies or judgement of what other peoples’ choices are.  Freedom means being able to make our own choices, so skip the judgement, ok? Thanks!)
