Jeff Johnsgaard
Jeff Johnsgaard is a full-time police officer and declared to be the official heir to the Center Axis Relock system by its creator, Paul Castle, before his premature death in 2011.
Since then, Jeff has proudly continued to forward the CAR System both in technique and in instructional framework to adapt to modern tactical demands. The latest evolution of CAR is Jeff's progression to a more comprehensive fighting approach, integrating elements of CAR with other physical defense tactics, including techniques learned serving as International Director of Training for the legendary Kelly S. Worden. Jeff calls this integration "360° CQD" (for Close Quarter Defense) and it marks the next phase of his unique instructional methods to aid learning and retention of these life-saving skills.
