Can A Thrown Knife Actually KILL An Attacker?!

You’ve seen it a hundred times…

The hero flips a knife with Hollywood-perfect form, and the bad guy drops in slow motion.

We all love a good action scene — but what if I told you that behind the movie magic lies a powerful truth that most self-defense experts ignore?

In a world where your weapon could break, jam, or run dry…

a well-placed thrown knife might be the one thing that saves your life.

Don’t believe it?

Well, one knife-thrower set out to discover just how lethal knife-throwing can be…

Hollywood Lies Vs. The “Ballistic Truth”

How A “Myth-Buster” Range-Test Exposed Some Critical Lessons On Knife-Throwing Lethality…

As you can see from the Tuber’s tests, a lot of a knife’s lethality comes down to “what” you’re actually throwing.

A small “neck knife” – when it’s thrown and lands with the pointy end first – isn’t going to drill a hole through a skull…

… but even that little “mouse knife” put a nice little gash in the ballistic head.

And since the face bleeds like a mother (ask any guy who’s nicked himself shaving!), that blood flowing out of someone’s face could be a real visual shocker for your attacker and/or his accomplices.

But still… not likely lethal, right?

Another test with the USMC Ka-Bar-style knife went far deeper… striking the eye socket and burying itself to the hilt.

So obviously, the larger you go up in the size and weight of your knife, the more penetration you’ll get from your throw.

Ultimately, the range test shows that “YES!”, a thrown knife can be lethal – but naturally begs the question…

WHY Would You Ever Throw Your Knife At An Attacker?!”

Here’s Why Throwing Your Knife At Your Attacker Might Be The Smartest “Dumb Thing” You’ll Ever Do…

Every instructor says it:

Never throw your knife.”

And most of the time, they’re right.

Once you throw it, you’ve essentially just “disarmed” yourself from what could be your last line of defense.

But like every “rule”, this one has life-saving exceptions…

If someone is sprinting at you from 15–30 feet away, and you can’t escape — throwing your knife might be your best shot.

Throwing your knife from a distance lets you exploit your attacker’s “flinch opening” when the knife strikes to charge him with a powerful follow-up strike.

And if you carry a firearm (or need to get to one in a home invasion defense) – and your pocket knife is the closest weapon you have at the moment – throwing it at your attacker buys you those extra fractions of a second you need to get to a more powerful weapon.

These are all realistic scenarios where “knife-throwing” can be a valuable weapon in your arsenal of combative skills.

But there’s even a scientific reason why you’d want to throw your knife rather than keep it in your hand…

You see, “physics” favors the thrower!

In the ballistic tests we’ve done, we discovered that a thrown knife thrown actually hits with more penetrating force than a direct stab!

In fact, throwing your knife with just 50% power penetrates deeper into a target than a stab with 100% power because it creates more focused impact with less surface area.

Strange but true my fellow Warrior!

But there’s still one thing you need in order for knife-throwing to truly be a skill you can use in a real attack…

… you gotta STICK the knife, right?

Here’s Why Almost Every Knife-Throwing Technique You’ve Seen Is USELESS When It Matters Most…

…And The ONLY Way To Throw Your Knife So It Sticks EVERY Time… From Virtually ANY Distance… Even If You’re On The Move!

Let’s be blunt…

If your throw requires calculating distance down to the inch… it’s not a “combat skill”.

It’s a circus act.

And that’s the problem with traditional, end-over-end knife-throwing.

It spins… it flips… it looks cool in the movies…

But in a real fight?

Do you really think you’re going to be able to judge the distance of a charging attacker right at the point of impact with your knife?

Are you seriously going to be able to calculate how many “spins” the knife needs to make in mid-airYou’ll hit handle-first more often than not.

That’s why “no-spin” knife-throwing is the ONLY system that actually works for real fighting scenarioseven under pressure.

Pioneered by legendary thrower, Ralph Thorn, his revolutionary new “No-Spin Combat Knife-Throwing” method doesn’t require perfect distance, or a special knife, or even a strong foundational stance.

You throw it… it flies point-first… and it sticks!

Here’s How To Throw A Knife Using The “No-Spin” Technique (Step-By-Step)…

Once You Start Using This Groundbreaking New Knife-Throwing Method, You’ll INSTANTLY Add “Master Thrower” To Your List Of Achievements!

With No-Spin You Can Throw ANY Knife

You’re going to be shocked at how ridiculously simple this technique works for you – and here’s exactly what you need to do…

1. First, you want to take a light grip on your knife, with your index finger straight up along the spine of your handle.

2. Next, take your arm and extend it high and back up over your head… but reach your arm behind you farther than you normally would.

3. Then – as you begin your throw – be sure to keep your arm relatively stiff with only a slight bend in your elbow (almost like your arm is the hand on a clock)

(This is ultra important! Most people will try to throw the knife like it’s a baseball. It’s natural… but it will force the knife to spin on you.)

4. Finally, when your hand passes your ear and the blade is still pointed straight up, release your knife.

Trust me… this will feel like it’s “too early” for you to let go… but it’s a key factor for the knife to avoid spinning on you.

I suggest you start your knife-throwing with this method relatively close to your target and then, as you get the “feel” for it (trust me, you’ll suddenly get that “Aha!” moment!), you can take a step back and repeat the process.

In just a matter of maybe a few hours at most, you’ll be throwing your knife, no-spin style, from much further distances.

Eventually, you’ll even be throwing accurately on the move!

(By the way… if you’re having trouble visualizing that step by step and want to try your hand at ‘No-Spin’ Combat Knife-Throwing, I have a free video to show you just how EASY it is to throw ANY knife the “no-spin” way…)

In a life-or-death attack, you just might need to rely on a thrown knife, or other weapon, to gain the upper hand.

I have already purchased the knives, I just needed the video. This is perfect .
I am excited to train with them, I have never worked with knives before.
Thank you for sharing this again.

John

I know that you had a set of knives that were offered at one time and I missed my chance to get them along with a video for the technique, are you ever going to offer those again?

Jeff Anderson

We do periodically have these in stock and let our email subscribers know when we have them. We don’t carry many of them but we should have a new batch in soon so if you’re on our newsletter list, keep an eye out! 🙂
