“Mad Max: Fury Road” nearly broke the Internet when it came out not so long ago. As great as the movie is, it suffers
Scott B. Williams
Scott B. Williams has been exploring wild places and seeking adventure on both land and sea most of his life. At the age of 25, he sold his possessions and embarked on an open-ended solo sea kayaking journey from his home in south Mississippi to the islands of the Caribbean. His book: On Island Time: Kayaking the Caribbean is a narrative of that life-changing journey that led to many years and many thousands of miles of kayaking and canoeing adventures.
His interest in adventure travel naturally led him to further develop his wilderness survival skills that began with hunting and fishing while growing up in rural Mississippi. After his Caribbean kayak trip, he spent many years testing his skills in a variety of environments throughout North America, using both modern and primitive hunting methods, and traveling both on foot and by canoe and kayak. In addition to wilderness survival, his other life-long passion has been the martial arts, and he has trained in Seibukan Shorin-ryu Karate and Ed Parker’s American Kenpo, and worked as a full-time Kenpo instructor for several years. He credits his martial arts background and training as instrumental in giving him the confidence and determination to overcome difficulties and obstacles on his long solo journeys in the wilderness and at sea.
Scott maintains several blogs, his most popular being Bug Out Survival which expands on his book: Bug Out: The Complete Plan for Escaping a Catastrophic Disaster Before It’s Too Late. He has written eight books, including a novel with a survival theme and is currently working on two more non-fiction survival books.
