What Police REALLY Want You To Say (And Do) After A Self-Defense Shooting [#432]

Being involved in a self-defense shooting can be the most stressful experience that one can have… and how you react could have long-lasting effects.

That’s WHY we train with our firearms, right?

To make SURE we’re ready for that moment when we’re called upon to protect ourselves and those we love.

But the fight isn’t over when the bad guy goes down… and one wrong move… one wrong word as you call for help and work with responding police COULD set you up for YEARS of life-changing LEGAL woes that could tear your family apart – emotional AND financially!

This week, we’re talking to a former police officer and investigator, Rob High, who’s going to give us the low-down on what responding law enforcement actually WANTS us to say and do when they show up – to protect you AFTER an attack!

Here’s What Police REALLY Want You To Say And Do After A Self-Defense Shooting…

Here’s What You’ll Discover In This Week’s Episode:

  • The 3 major “fights” you’ll face when attacked by a violent criminal on the street or in your home! (WARNING: 2 of these can be even WORSE than the actual physical assault!)
  • What the average citizen doesn’t know about calling 911 for help! (This could literally mean the difference between staying home with your family… or going to jail!)
  • Exactly what to do when police arrive to make sure that you or a family member doesn’t get mistaken for “the bad guy”! (Too many responsibly-armed citizens have learned this lesson the hard way… sometimes with their very lives!)
  • What to say to the police to protect yourself legally… and not seem like an obnoxious a**hole who’s trying to make their job harder!
  • And much, MUCH more!

Too few gun-owners know these facts.

Failing to pay just as much attention to what you do AFTER a shooting could mean financial ruin and a life behind bars, separated from the loved ones you were protecting in the first place!

Perfect podcast! Calm , common sense information about the aftermath of a shooting incident. Whether at home or out and about with a conceal carry permit this podcast drives home the importance of having an insurance policy to protect oneself and provide the best attorney available. Silence is golden, but a specialized attorney by your side is priceless.
Pray you never have too, but train like you will….

First off, it is hard to understand Rob at times and I had to turn my volume up…also no CC available does not help. Second, this man
, I think, has way too much of a law officer attitude about the aftermath and not considering that you have just gone through a lot of trauma and you may have heart problems that should be checked out even if you have no visible injuries. He also said that officers get almost two days before they have an interview at the HQ.

So it wouldn’t be wise to ask the attending cop if he has a payloader I could borrow?

Hi Jeff,
I just watched your podcast and was blown away by how instructive and interesting it was. Thank you so much for doing this as I will most likely watch it again. Your guest was extremely informative and articulated what should, and shouldn’t be said, in the aftermath of an incident.
Thanks again,
Dan Gunther

Dave

3 Urban Survival Myths (And The Truth About How To Survive In A Collapse!)

The going thinking seems to be that the ONLY way to survive is to flee the city. You’re supposed to run, like a dog with its tail between its legs, and hide out in the woods until things get back to normal. This is really dated thinking that ignores history. To get to the bottom of this, we’ve got to dispel some of the myths about urban survival in a collapse.

Home Defense Carbine Rifle: To Sling, Or Not To Sling?

I was at the outdoor range the other day and I saw a lot of guys rocking single point slings for their assault rifles. A sling helps us to feel all “operator” and can be of benefit in certain scenarios. But would it shock you if I told you… you don’t always need it?
